When I launched the Unbreakable Wealth group a year ago, I thought I was launching a coaching program.
I was wrong.
What emerged instead was something far more profound.
Watching people show up week after week, being vulnerable, and sharing their struggles and victories has been one of the greatest honors of my life. The sacred space we’ve created together has become something I hold dear beyond measure.
As we marked our one-year anniversary this week, I asked our members to share their most valuable lessons from the past year. What surfaced was both surprising and deeply moving.
Here are a few of the most powerful lessons that emerged:
- Feeling Successful is a Choice: Even after selling a company for multiple millions, one member discovered that “making it” is a moving target. Despite the Range Rover, the Rolex, and the dream house, the goalposts kept shifting. The lesson? If we’re waiting to feel successful, we’ll be waiting forever.
- Wealth Is Freedom, Not Money: True wealth isn’t about net worth or tangible things – it’s about doing life on your own terms. This means staying calm when things go sideways, taking breaks without guilt, and focusing on steady, consistent growth rather than constant hustle.
- The Magic Is In the Being, Not the Doing: As entrepreneurs, we’re wired to solve problems through action. But sometimes, the most powerful move is to simply be present with where we are. The constant striving for more often puts us in a perpetual state of lack.
- Never Underestimate Your Value: Even the most accomplished among us can forget our worth. One member discovered he was “actually good at what he does” – a simple but profound shift that led to transforming his business and preparing for a successful exit.
- Your Physical Environment Affects Your Financial Reality: A seemingly small detail – like carrying a $100 bill – can completely change how we think about money. These micro-habits have macro impacts on our relationship with wealth.
- The Power of Compounding Applies Everywhere: One member realized that the principle of compounding works beyond just finances — it applies to relationships, skills, health, and personal growth. Small, consistent actions compound into remarkable results.
- Energy Management Trumps Time Management: After achieving his financial goals, a member shifted focus from managing time to managing energy – leading to improvements across all areas of life, from finances to relationships.
- You Can Build a Personal Brand Just As You Are: The journey of putting yourself out there doesn’t require perfection. One member learned that consistency and authenticity matter more than polished perfection.
- True Confidence Comes From Self-Acceptance: Several members discovered that external success – even at the highest levels – doesn’t automatically create internal confidence. That only comes from accepting ourselves exactly as we are.
- The Ego Is Both a Tool and a Trap: Understanding when the ego serves us and when it limits us became a crucial lesson. Learning to step back and receive feedback while maintaining healthy confidence is a delicate balance.
And the winner (as voted by the group): - Everything Is Going To Be Okay: After years of anxiety about making up for past financial mistakes, a member found profound peace in realizing that whether she spends or saves, invests, or holds back – it’s all going to work out. Sometimes, the deepest wisdom is also the simplest.
What strikes me most as I reflect on these stories is how universal they are. Whether someone is making $100,000 or $10 million, the core struggles with worth, enoughness, and identity remain surprisingly consistent.
I’ve learned that true wealth isn’t about accumulating more – it’s about being brave enough to question our deepest beliefs about money, success, and worth. It’s about showing up authentically and allowing ourselves to be seen. It’s about building meaningful connections with others who are on the same journey.
As we move into year two, I’m more committed than ever to deepening this work. What started as a coaching program has evolved into a tribe – a place where we can all come home to ourselves while building lives of true wealth and freedom.
To everyone who has shown up, shared vulnerably, and trusted this process – thank you. You’ve made this journey more meaningful than I could have imagined. I hold the responsibility of leading this community as one of my life’s greatest honors.
When I asked members about what they’ve gotten from the program, the answers were shockingly similar: while they found the content to be transformational, the true value was in the relationships that they’ve developed.
I thought I was creating a coaching program. Instead, I was creating a community.
A place for founders to find their people.
A place where I’ve found my people.
And for that, I’m deeply grateful.
To the first of many,
Mb
